Action Items - Tasks

What is a Task?

A Preact action item that allows you to assign duties to a specific user with in Preact and syncs in real-time with Salesforce. A task is assigned when a workflow has been kicked off by trigger. Find out more about other action items such as alerts and email. 

1. Name, Segment, and Select a Trigger

In this example, we will use a time-based trigger for customers on the Pro Plan with an annual contract, "QBR #1 - Annual Pro Plan". Click to learn about Manual, Smart, Event Triggers. 

2. Select & Assign Task

Assign a task to the designated Customer Success Manager, Sales Rep or a specific user. In this example, we will assign a task to the designated Customer Success Manager. 

 

 3. Description + Due Date

Write the task and how many days after the workflow has been triggered that the task must be complete. In this example, we will set a due date of 1 day after the workflow was kicked off. 

4. View the Task

View tasks on the Tasks page or on an account page in the Preact Portal.

5. Tasks in Salesforce 

All tasks created in Preact are synced in real-time to salesforce. 

6. Create another step? (Optional)

You have met the minimum requirements to create a workflow (Name + Segment + Trigger + 1 Action Item). Add another step to your workflow. Click here to learn more. 

6. Add additional action items (Optional)

Enhance your workflow by adding additional action items such as email notifications, alerts, or more tasks
