Workflows - Manual Trigger

What is a Manual Trigger?

A trigger that is user-initiated / manually activated by a person. Workflows triggered manually are great for information only a Customer Success Manager or Account Manager would know, such as, a key contact is leaving the company or budget cuts. Click to find out more about event, smart, and time-based triggers. 

1. Name your workflow 

We recommend a descriptive name that includes information about the trigger + the user segment. In this example, we will create a manual trigger specifically for customers on the Pro Plan with an annual contract, "Key Contact Leaving - Annual Pro Plan." 

2. Select a user segment

We created a custom filter in order to segment out users on the Pro Plan with an annual contract. We did that with our custom filtering feature. Learn more about that here.  

3. Select Manual Trigger

Simply select Manual for Step 1. 

4. Activate Manual trigger from the Accounts Page

Kick off a Manual Workflow for a specific account from the Account Page in Preact. 

5. Add Action Items

Finish this workflow by creating action items such as tasks, email's, and alerts. Click here to learn about the different action items.
