Integrating with Salesforce

Note: Preact only works for Salesforce accounts that have API access. API access is available on the the Salesforce Enterprise Plan and above or as an add-on to your existing plan.

1. In Preact, go to Settings > Integrations > Salesforce

2. Enter your Salesforce username, password and API token.

Every Salesforce user has a unique API token and must request it from Salesforce.

The API token is tied to your password, so it resets if you change your password.

We recommend creating a Salesforce admin account for all of your integrations.

Requesting your Salesforce API Token

1. Login to Salesforce, click on your name > My Settings > Personal > Reset my Security Token.

2. Your new Security Token will be sent to the email associated with your Salesforce account.

Jump to step 2 above and enter your new Security Token.

3. Store your new Security Token in a safe place.
